Brady Smith Leaves Wheatland
Following Issues in Qualifying...
Brady Smith and his #2 AMSOIL team had high hopes coming into
the weekend's 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals' at the Lucas Oil
Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 9-10. However, transponder
issues during time trials on Friday, May 9 relegated Brady to
a disappointing twelfth place performance in his group. After
rain invaded the pristine speedplant on Saturday and postponed
the heat races, consolation events, and the $40,000 to win A-Main
until Sunday, May 11, the Brady Smith Racing team decided to
make the long trek back home to be with their families on Mothers
Day instead of racing Sunday at Wheatland. You can view complete

'99' at Kentucky Lake; Finishes Ninth at Monett!
The
Brady Smith Racing team picked up their first win of the young
2008 racing season on Saturday night, May 3 at the Kentucky
Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky! Brady Smith was
strong in qualifying and later won his heat race to earn a starting
spot up front in the $10,000 to win '99 Extravaganza' main event.
The Solon Springs, Wisconsin native then drove an excellent
race around the 3/8-mile, high-banked speedplant and overtook
race leader Darren Miller following a lap twenty restart. Brady
then held the point over the final thirty laps to record the
$10,000 triumph over Billy Drake, Darren Miller, Steve Casebolt,
and Earl Pearson, Jr. You can view complete results from the
'99' online at www.kentuckylakemotorspeedway.net.
On
Sunday, May 4, the exciting, dirt-slinging action turned west
to the Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. The World of Outlaws
Late Model Series sanctioned a $7,000 to win event in the Show-Me
State on Sunday evening. Brady timed in eighth quickest in WOOLMS
qualifying and once again won his competitive heat race. After
drawing a number eight prior to the 40-lap feature event, Brady
held his ground throughout the A-Main en route to a strong ninth
place performance. You can view more information concerning

Brady Smith Strong in 'Colossal
100' at Lowe's Before Breaking...
The
Brady Smith Racing team invaded the pristine Dirt Track at the
Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina on April 18-19
for the 3rd Annual 'Colossal 100.' The World of Outlaws Late
Model Series sanctioned the two-day show, which boasted a hefty
$50,000 winners share. Brady Smith timed his AMSOIL / Big Red
Motorsports / Mid-States Equipment #2 Bloomquist / Vic Hill
entry in forty-sixth fastest in WOOLMS qualifying on Friday
night, April 18 and later finished fourth in his stout heat
race.
After a convincing triumph in his B-Main on Saturday, Brady
rolled off from the inside of the fourteenth row for the 100-lap
feature event. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin driver had a fast
racecar throughout the 'Colossal 100' and was bidding for a
top five finish late in the race before an oil line shook loose,
which caused smoke to billow from his #2 entry. Brady was forced
to retire from the caution-plagued race in the nineteenth position.
